The following instructions explain how to navigate this CD and view the documents it contains.
Splash Page
The CD automatically opens to a splash page. From this page you can perform the following actions:
- Click the button for the language of your choice to advance to the document menu for that language.
Document Menu
The document menu provides links to all documents for the language selected from the splash page. Each document is in portable document format (PDF). You can perform the following actions from the document menu:
- Click "Home" to return to the splash page.
- Switch to the document menu for the other language by clicking "English" or "Français."
- Click a document name to open that document in the document window.
Each time you click a document name, that document replaces the document that is currently open in the document window. For instruction on how to open two documents simultaneously, refer to "Opening Two Documents at Once," below.
- Hover your mouse over a document name to view the full name of the document and a description.
Document Window
Clicking a document name from the document menu opens the document in a new window. You can perform the following actions from the document window:
- Click the "Show document menu" link in the upper right-hand corner to return to the document menu.
- Scroll through the PDF document.
- Use the PDF Table of Contents to go to specified destinations within the document.
Opening Two Documents at Once
Use the following instructions from the document menu to open two documents simultaneously:
- Click the name of the first document to open it in the document window.
- Right-click the name of the second document to open it in a separate window. br>
This window will not provide navigation back to the document menu.

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO USE THE DIGITAL DATA RECORDED ON THIS CD. PROMPTLY RETURN THE PACKAGE AND ANY ACCOMPANYING ITEMS (including written materials) TO:

WHEREAS NAV CANADA is the owner of the intellectual proprietary rights in the digital data delivered with this Agreement (the Data);
WHEREAS the End-User wishes to obtain the right to use the Data for the purpose of evaluating the functionality of the Data and format;
NOW, THEREFORE, NAV CANADA and the End-User agree as follows:
- NAV CANADA hereby grants one (1) End-User a non-exclusive license to use the Data for the End-User’s own internal use for the sole purpose of evaluating the functionality of the Data and format, subject to the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth;
- The information contained in the Data are current only to the date of submission for printing. A NOTAM may amend or cancel the information in the Data, therefore the End-User must consult the NOTAM to ensure current information is used by the End-User.
- The End-User acknowledges that the Data are protected under the Copyright Act of Canada;
- The End-User owns the media on which the Data are recorded, while NAV CANADA retains all intellectual property rights in the Data.
- The End-User shall not sell, loan, lease, distribute, transfer or sublicense the Data or any part thereof or otherwise assign any rights under this Agreement to any third party without the prior written consent of NAV CANADA.
- The End-User may transfer the Data from the CD-ROM to one computer memory subject to the terms of this Agreement. The End-User may not copy Data for any other purpose or use, either internal or external, without the prior written consent of NAV CANADA.
- The Data are provided on an "as is" basis and NAV CANADA makes no guarantees, representations, or warranties respecting the Data, either expressed or implied, arising by law or otherwise, including but not limited to, effectiveness, completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.
- Except to the extent prohibited by law, NAV CANADA shall not be liable for direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential, punitive, or other damages (including lost profit, lost data, or downtime costs) arising out of the use, inability to use, results of use of the Data, or possession of the Data, whether based in warranty, contract, tort or other legal theory in respect of any claim, demand or action, irrespective of the nature of the cause of the claim, demand or action alleging any loss.
- The End-User shall indemnify and save harmless NAV CANADA, its members, employees, and agents from and against any claim, demand or action, irrespective of the nature of the cause of the claim, demand, or action, alleging loss, costs, expenses, damages, or injuries (including injuries resulting in death) arising out of the End-User’s use, inability to use, or possession of the Data or in anyway relating to this agreement.
- NAV CANADA may terminate the End-User’s licence upon notice for failure to comply with any applicable term or condition contained herein. Immediately upon termination, the Data and all copies of the Data will be destroyed or returned to NAV CANADA.
- The Parties hereto agree that this agreement is made in the province of Ontario, and that it shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein, and that the courts of the Province of Ontario shall have exclusive jurisdiction with respect to any matter set out herein. The Parties hereby expressly agree that the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply to this agreement.
